Our group explores how structural design and shape morphing at small scales can be harnessed to create intelligent micro/nanosystems. Our research spans micro/nanorobotics, three-dimensional microelectronics, and metamaterials, united by a common interest in 3D architected structures, programmable matter, and the interplay between form and function.
By combining micro/nanofabrication with three-dimensional transformation, we build systems in which geometry, mechanics, and material responses work together to enable controlled motion, enhanced electronic performance, and tunable electromagnetic or mechanical properties. These efforts support applications in biomedicine, integrated circuits, and adaptive material systems.
We welcome highly motivated MS/PhD students, postdocs, and research assistants to join our group and work with us on exciting problems in micro/nanosystems.
